The Perfect Promotional Umbrellas For Corporate Golf Days

Promotional umbrellas are a must-do giveaway if you are holding a corporate golf day. You can give all the little goodies such as a sleeve of golf balls, a pitch repairer, some tees, and maybe even a golf towel, but one essential item you need to hand out is umbrellas. Why? Because they are the perfect way to advertise. They are highly visible to anyone in the vicinity that sees the umbrella open. They have a terrific branding area that you can repeat around the umbrella to ensure nobody misses your advertising and they are something everyone uses. What could be more compelling than that? However, there are what we like to call "horses for courses" and not every golf umbrella is created equal.

If you are holding a gold day, it means you have gone to a considerable expense, and the last thing you want is to give something away that breaks or fails within the first few uses. Therefore, we wanted to highlight some of the better quality available umbrellas that had a good-sized canopy but can also cope with different conditions, especially the nemesis for all umbrellas - the wind!

1. Typhoon

Typhoon Umbrella

This umbrella is aptly named. It comes with a vented canopy. This means any wind that comes up underneath will not blow the umbrella out, as the wind is allowed to pass through. It's a very clever design and ensures that the umbrella will not fail even in high winds. It has all the other good stuff too. With a simple press of a button, it auto opens and has a fibreglass shaft and frame. This ensures it "bends" in the wind and comes back to shape instead of stainless steel, which, when it bends, stays bent. There is also a rubber grip handle which means you won't slip with your grip, even if your hands get wet, and on a rainy day on a golf course, we know how wet our hands can get!

2. Vented Umbrella

Vented Umbrella

Not quite the traditional golf umbrella with alternating panel colours, but this is still a vented umbrella and will stand up to strong winds. The same principle as The Typhoon umbrella, the top section has open panels that allow any gusts of wind to just blow straight through the umbrella. The coloured section denotes where that starts. They also have the same flexi fibreglass shaft, which is a must for any wind-resistant umbrella. There is a great colour range in this particular umbrella with all the standard corporate colours of Black, navy blue and red. Although this one is manual opening, it is lightning resistant, though we would still recommend not putting it to the test and staying safe when lightning is about on the golf course.

3. Silver Golf Umbrella

This one is both practical and eye-catching. The reason for the silver colour is for it to reflect the sun's rays, meaning this is both good for rain and sunny days. The silver material looks great when branded with a darker colour such as black, navy blue or perhaps a deep burgundy. It really pops off the panels. Like the other two, it has a vented twin canopy and is lightning resistant. They have a straight black molded rubber handle and the underside is black, which helps reduce the glare from the sun. If you want to offer something a little different, this is definitely the umbrella for you.

4. Rubber Handle Umbrella

This is more your traditional styled golf umbrella, but with a twist. It has alternating panels, but then the vented section also has opposing alternating panels. It makes for a catchy umbrella. Just like the image shown, it looks best if you can do your branding in the same colour as the panels. This style has all the features of the others with the vented canopy, fibreglass shaft and ribs, plus a non-slip handle.

So there you have 4 of the best. These are designed to withstand rough weather and strong winds. You want the umbrella to last, so these come highly recommended. The last thing you want is for clients to open their umbrella when it starts raining, only to have it blow out on them and becomes useless. Spend a little extra and get yourself a robust umbrella that can withstand all the elements. If none of these suits, we do have many other styles on the website call or email us, and we'd be happy to make suggestions to suit whatever brief you give us.
